Remington

Remington is a rather young and inexperienced vampire. His mortal life ended sixty years before his first introduction to Cain and he is frozen in his early twenties. Despite his flare for the dramatic, Rem is an integral part in Cain’s sanity as they travel together. He represents both the light and darkness and fills in as the perfect compliment to Cain’s impenetrable melancholy. Despite his youth and close clutch on his humanity, Rem often looks upon the world as an innocent even by human standards, which is in harsh contrast to what he was before his embrace. He appears to be one half of a set of twins. Chloe, his companion, stands only a few inches shorter but is his more feminine match in every other way. She is the force who created his change from jaded to that of the more sheltered individual that he is when his path crosses Cain’s.

Remington is very closely intertwined with a few other characters throughout Cain’s travels, some of which are more obvious than others. His soul was split by a great emotional trauma that had happened to it when it was young and its’ fragments search for a way to become one once more. He is tied to Cain’s fate and unable to turn away from him no matter how hard he wishes that he could hold a grudge. Remington’s path lies beside his mysterious immortal companion, whether he likes it or not.
